Ms. Caroline, a British national, co-taught our IEP classes along our main IEP teachers Ms. Andrea Castro, and Ms. Nora Zheng Jing at the Tianchang High School. She started teaching from September 2009 and stayed with us for a semester.
By inviting guest teachers like Caroline, our IEP students would get more opportunities to interact and get used to speakers with different English accents, while also benefiting from the exposure to different teaching styles. The teaching team could also give more attention to the students (in and outside class), as the teachers taught alongside each other.
The arrangement, though for a short period, was generally considered a success, as different students within the class responded differently (but positively) to the different teachers’ styles and accents.
