In order to further promote English learning in Wuwei Number 1 High School, the IEP annual speech contest was held on April 17th 2015 in the school auditorium. The event started with Vice-Principal Mr. Ni Daijun giving a wonderful opening speech, who also thanked the judges, participants and organisers for their efforts.
During the contest, Year 1 IEP students, Vivian and Mike gave their speeches with accurate pronunciation and rich expressions, and were highly commended by the judges.
It is believed that through such events, not only the contestants will improve their English skills, but also the student organisers, who had to constantly communicate with their foreign teachers to organise the event.
At the end of the contest, each participant was presented with an award. At the end of the event, CWin Academic Manager Dr. Gene Rhoton gave a closing speech, which was nicely interpreted into Chinese by an IEP student.
