[IEP] 2014 X'Mas Celebrations @ Lu'An No.1 High School

It is the time of the year again when people in many countries celebrate the most awaited day — Christmas day. It is a tradition in the I.E.P. department to hold Christmas party for the students, as it is the season of love, joy and sharing.

IEP Christmas parties for Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 were held in the IEP classrooms on the 8th floor of the main teaching building from 22-25 Dec. 2014. Prior to the parties, the IEP teachers had lessons about Christmas. They presented it through PPT, pictures, songs and videos. Classrooms were cleaned, and decorated with Christmas tree, Christmas lights, balloons, tinsels, pictures of Santa Claus, and Christmas cards.

The parties kicked off with the singing of “Jingle Bells” and “We wish you a Merry Christmas.” Some games were played such as “Nose Dive”, “Musical Chairs”, Balloon Stomping, “Balloon Blowing”, “Balloon Bursting by sitting on it” “Switcheero”, “Pass the Bat”, and Eating contest. Different flavoured Oreo wafers, candies, lollipops, and chocolates were given as prizes to winners. In between games, students had a chance to sing their favourite Chinese songs (KTV style). They all sang their hearts out. Teacher Bob dressed up as Santa Claus. He went around the classroom and shook everyone's hands. He also gave them lots of candies.

At the end of each party, students were given a small bag of sweets. Everyone had a smile on their faces when they left the venue. It was indeed a very Merry Christmas for all!
