Speech Contest 2023 News Report
At 16:15 on Friday 31 March 2023, the IEP Department held its 15th annual English-speaking contest at School Auditorium of Lu’an No. 1 High School’s new campus. Aside from CWin representatives, Principal Chen Ming Long, Vice Principal Yu Rui from Lu’an No. 1 High School and directors Mr.Zhang Jian and Mr.Zhao Chen De and year one form teachers were also present. The foreign teachers of Tianchang Senior High School, (Dr. Sofia from the Philippines, and Mr. Spha from South Africa), Ms. Grace from the Philippines and Mr. Cannie from Zimbabwe who are teaching at Wuwei Senior High School were the board of judges.
There were 12 contestants who were from the six IEP classes of Year 1. Topics were chosen freely and developed their speeches accordingly. PowerPoint Presentations were prepared by the contestants for a better presentation of their topics.
In addition, there were some performances from Year 1 IEP students like dancing, singing, playing the guitar, and rapping. Moreover, the masters of the ceremony were also students from Year 1 IEP Department.
9 students received 4th place, Geng Meng Qi from class 5, Wu Yu Han from class 6,Li Qi Zhi from class7, Liu Qi Ran and Wang Yi Yang from class 8, Qin Hao and Chao Yang from class 9,Ma Chen Yue and Li Ru Hao from class 10.Han Rui Feng from class 5 received 3rd place, .Wang Qian Yi from class 7 received 2nd place, and Feng Tian from class 5 received 1st place. They were awarded trophies and certificates by Cwin Corp – Singapore. It ended at 18:00.

2023年度国际部英语演讲比赛顺利举行
为了激发英语学习热情，提高学生口语表达能力，展现一中国际部学子的风貌，落实立德树人这一根本任务，3月31日下午四点到六点，六安一中国际部第十五届以学生的发展和健康成长为主题英语演讲比赛在六安州中学堂报告厅举行。学校党委书记校长陈明龙、副校长余蕊、教务处主任解正宝、教务处副主任张健、高一年级部主任赵陈德、高一国际班班主任、新加坡华盛教育学术总监黄世晴博士、常务主任陶进秋以及高一国际班全体同学共300多人共同见证了此次比赛。
比赛中，参赛选手们带来的演讲内容丰富，所有选手激情澎湃，尽力发挥出自己最好的水平。在演讲比赛当天，高一国际班的部分学生还进行了精彩的才艺展示，现场掌声频起，活动圆满完成。
比赛邀请到来自天长中学国际部的Sofia博士、Spha老师，无为一中国际部的Grace老师、Cannie老师共四位外籍老师担任比赛的评委。
经过精彩角逐及专业评委的打分，来自高一5班的冯天同学获得这次演讲比赛第一名，高一7班的王茜仪和高一6班的韩锐锋分别获得比赛第二名和第三名。选手们演讲结束后，评委老师对参赛同学的精彩表现进行点评。
本次英语演讲比赛提高了学生学习英语的兴趣、增加了学生比赛经验、在提高英语实用水平的同时增加了信心，活跃了校园文化氛围。六安一中国际部将一如既往的注重提升学生的语言运用能力和文化素养及综合能力的提高。
